Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a maternity-leave coverage in a K-12 district near Ashland, Virginia. This contract role offers a full-time schedule with flexible hours, typically Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the ability to tailor days and times to needs.

The position focuses on helping students access education and gain independence, working closely with teachers, families, and other school professionals. Virginia license or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license for Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in school settings and/or pediatric care valued.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT services to K-12 students in a school-based environment.
• Conduct evaluations to determine student needs and collaborate on IEPs.
• Develop and implement intervention plans that promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence within the school and home settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student access to curriculum and classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and legal guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and workshops as needed.
