Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Brookline, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment and support students with disabilities through focused therapy within the school setting.

You will conduct evaluations, develop goals to improve mobility and independence, collaborate with teachers, monitor progress, and ensure IEP compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist with school-based experience.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and community members.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ physical abilities and pediatric physiology knowledge as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized goals aimed at improving mobility, strength, coordination and functional independence.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and the child study team.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training as required.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
