Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as an Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to evaluate, plan and execute occupational therapy treatments.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy procedures upon physician referral, designing activities to correct or remedy disabilities.
• Evaluates function and disability; develops treatment plans with short and long term goals.
• Records evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in patient charts.
• Fabricates and applies hand splints; trains patients in adaptive devices and self-help techniques.
• Maintains program records including budgets and frequency of treatments.
