Job summary

Catapult Learning in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our school-based team. The OT will support students in accessing and progressing in classroom and home activities with a collaborative approach.

The role involves screenings, assessments interpretation, treatment planning, and coordination with school staff and families to improve student outcomes. PA licensure (OTR/L) and CCC are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience providing speech evaluations to students is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy as required by state and contract.
• Registered and licensed Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
• ASHA CCC in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must have or be willing to obtain all PA state mandated clearances (Child abuse, FBI fingerprints, background check).
• Proficient with virtual platforms, e.g. TEAMS, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Administers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine a child's competency in relation to functional tasks, sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and cognition.
• Provides occupational therapy services to students to enhance access and progress in school and home life.
• Determine student eligibility for special education services under IDEA categories.
• Interprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths/weaknesses, produces standardized scores, and generates reports for feedback to parents and school personnel.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive evaluation reports per IDEA requirements.
• Serves as a member of the student's multidisciplinary team, if appropriate.
• Offers consultation and collaboration with school psychologists and parents regarding testing results.
• Acts as a resource to parents, school personnel and caregivers in OT area.
• Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
