Qualifications

• Must hold current ODE registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
• Active license in Occupational Therapy from the Ohio OT, PT & Athletic Trainers Board.
• Must have a valid driver's license and provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide screenings, evaluations, and interventions to support students in the school environment.
• Develop and monitor individualized educational goals and strategies based on data and maintain student documentation.
• Perform mobility and handling tasks, including transfers and use of adaptive equipment.
• Deliver therapy to improve sensory-motor functions related to the educational program.
• Direct and supervise the activities of the certified occupational therapy assistant as appropriate.
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside agencies to meet students' needs.
• Maintain compliance with district, state and federal guidelines.
• Develop and maintain an efficient schedule covering workload responsibilities.
• Utilize own transportation to carry out school assignments and transport materials.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in best practice techniques.
