Job summary

Reach for the Stars Learning Center in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our private not-for-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role is available in full or part-time hours and starts immediately.

The OT will manage a small caseload, deliver individual and group therapy, and collaborate with classroom staff to adapt programs and goals. Strong assessment, documentation, and IEP development are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in OT is required.
• Active New York OT license required.
• Experience in private/not-for-profit school setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage small caseload and provide individual and group OT services.

• Conduct, score, and analyze assessments; create and update IEP goals.

Reach for the Stars is a 12-month private not-for-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is seeking a full or part time, Occupational Therapist to begin immediately.

Professional Requirements

• Master's degree in occupational therapy
• Current New York State occupational therapy license required

General Roles And Responsibilities

• Manage small caseload
• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services
• Organize and adapt programs to meet student skill level
• Conduct, score, and analyze assessments
• Create, score and update OT IEP goals
• Complete annual progress reports and evaluation reports
• Daily documentation notes of individual and group occupational therapy sessions
• Actively participate in OT Dept meetings and individual supervision time
• Collaborate with team members and participate in weekly team meetings
• Recommend and implement appropriate therapeutic programs and interventions
• Train, assist and provide OT in-service to classroom staff on therapeutic programs
• Provide weekly progress updates to parents
• Prepare for and participate in IEP meetings for students on caseload
