Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Rhode Island Department of Health OT license is required.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and school-based OT practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations as part of special education eligibility processes.
• Develop, implement, and monitor OT services in students’ IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Provide direct and consultative OT services in classroom, cafeteria, playground and other settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, specialists, and administrators to integrate therapy into the school day.
• Assist in developing accommodations, modifications, and strategies to promote student access and participation.
