Job summary

Collierville Schools seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide educational OT services within the school community. The role requires evaluating students, updating IEPs, and planning therapy programs in collaboration with teachers and staff.

The incumbent will maintain records, participate in conferences, and help create supportive learning environments for students with disabilities while ensuring confidentiality and by working flexibly as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with state credentials.
• Minimum of three years of experience in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain necessary records of student progress.
• Evaluate student progress and update IEPs.
• Hold conferences with the professional staff.
• Conduct evaluations of student physical abilities to formulate therapy goals/objectives.
• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs within the school community.
• Assist classroom teachers in providing an environment conducive to learning for students with disabilities receiving OT services.
• Recommend changes in student classroom environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Willing to work flexible hours as needed.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and leadership skills.
