Zusammenfassung

LEARN Academy is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive evaluation and intervention services for students with special needs. You will collaborate with teachers, families and related service providers to align OT plans with IEP goals and educational needs.

You will develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes while contributing to MTSS/RTI initiatives and providing staff trainings.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Pass the NBCOT OT examination.

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ functional abilities.
• Develop and implement occupational therapy intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate OT strategies into the educational curriculum.
• Adapt learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
• Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
• Support MTSS/RTI initiatives and assistive technology use and UDL strategies.
• Collaborate with the special education team to ensure OT services align with LRE.
• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the OT community.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.
