Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in Windsor, CT is seeking an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to evaluate, plan, and collaborate on IEP goals for students across assigned sites. The role focuses on interventions that enhance participation and learning in diverse educational settings.

Responsibilities include screenings and data collection, communicating results to staff and families, and documenting services for billing and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program recognized by NBCOT.
• Current NBCOT registration and CT Department of Public Health license.
• Two years' experience as an OT, preferably in a school/pediatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete screenings and evaluations; set measurable goals; plan and implement OT interventions.
• Communicate evaluation results to staff, parents, students, and other professionals.
• Document therapy services including notes, progress summaries, IEPs, trainings, and Medicaid billing when required.
• Maintain and submit time records for billing activities.
• Collaborate and supervise related service staff implementing OT interventions.
• Provide consultation to schools and districts on student and staff needs.
• Attend meetings (School team, PPT, OT-PT staff) and participate in professional development.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; order supplies; ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to CREC policies and procedures.
