Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid New York State License in Occupational Therapy and NBCOT certification.
• Experience with autism, developmental delays, and/or physical disabilities in school or pediatric settings.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes and school-based therapy practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ functional abilities (fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, daily living skills).
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals.
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy in classrooms and therapy spaces.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to integrate therapy strategies in the classroom.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and service planning.
