Job summary

Tempe Elementary School District No. 3 is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve on an itinerant basis across school sites in Tempe, AZ.

You will participate in IEP/MET teams, assess students, determine eligibility for OT services, provide therapy and training, and document services in the educational setting. You will collaborate with school staff and families, collect data, and generate reports while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners license (or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in OT
• NBOT registration
• Knowledge of pediatric/neurodevelopment info and latest research
• 6 months supervised clinical affiliations
• 2 years pediatric clinical or elementary school experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of laws, policies and standards affecting special education services.
• Collect data and generate written reports.
• Participate in MET process as needed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluations and IEP goals.
• Consult with school staff, parents and agencies regarding student needs.
• Supervise OT Assistant if applicable.
• May participate in meetings beyond regular schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
