Job summary

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join the Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) CYB-MFLC team at Cannon AFB, NM. This is a 9-month school calendar position providing non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach to military families and school staff.

The role supports military children through transitions and social-emotional learning, with collaboration with parents and educators, and may involve travel and installation-based duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
• Valid independent license in mental health (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
• U.S. citizen.
• Able to pass a basic background check and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work at School(s) populated by military youth and teens.
• Provide non-medical counseling, coaching, and support to staff and parents.
• Offer presentations on social skills and social-emotional learning.
• Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.
• Build rapport with families by attending installation and community events.
• Assist with transition adjustments (new school/home).
• Participate in in-service training and report trends to Team Leads.
• Communicate information regarding trends/issues at the installation.
