Job summary

Poppy's Therapeutic Corner is seeking a licensed School Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team at a partnered high school. You will treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist students in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized.
• Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred.
• Licensed Interns are welcome.
• Ohio licensed mental health clinician (LPC, LSW, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S, MFT).

Responsibilities

• Individual and Group Therapy: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students, both individually and in group settings, to address mental health concerns.
• Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and intervention for students experiencing mental health crises and coordinate with school staff for safety and follow-up.
• Collaboration and Consultation: Work with school personnel to support students' mental health needs and provide consultation to teachers and staff.
• Family Engagement: Engage with students' families to assess dynamics and collaborate on treatment goals.
• Referral and Coordination: Coordinate referrals to external providers and ensure continuity of care.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain confidential records of assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Professional Development: Stay current with best practices via ongoing training.
