Job summary

Marriage and Family Services is seeking a 1099 Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to work in Tallahassee, FL, primarily in schools. The role supports students identified by a school mental health team and allows for private-practice style independence with caseload management.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in a clinical field (MFT/MHC/LCSW), Florida licensure, and preferably have Play Therapy experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in MFT, MHC, LCSW or related field.
• Florida state licensure required prior to hire.
• Play Therapy experience.
• Children and family experience required.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Experience in different areas (substance use, children/adolescents) welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services in Tallahassee and Leon County.
• Manage own caseloads and schedules with independence.
• Collaborate with school mental health teams to identify and serve students.
• Offer virtual sessions after hours or during holidays when appropriate.
