Job summary

Centerstone Medical Group seeks a School-Based Support Specialist to provide in-school mental health services in Pittsfield, IL. You will deliver individualized care based on treatment plans, support student resilience, and coordinate with school staff to promote academic success.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Psychology/Social Work or equivalent, and strong communication with families and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Four years of supervised qualifying experience in mental health, substance use, or developmental disability services.
• Possess knowledge of mental health interventions and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mental health services to students on school premises.
• Support treatment goals using evidence-based strategies and a strengths-based approach.
• Help students build skills for recovery, resilience, and academic success.
• Manage a student caseload and provide care coordination with other providers.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in staffings.
• Provide crisis response and follow-up support, including outreach for missed appointments.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation per agency/state guidelines.
