Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a School Based Support Specialist II in Springfield, MO to aid students in thriving at home and in the community. You will coordinate mental health services during school hours and work with educational staff to implement comprehensive treatment plans that promote student success.

You will support youth through direct school-based services, emergency outreach, and collaboration with supervisors, while upholding ethical guidelines and program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services field.
• Or a Bachelor's in an unrelated field with two years of relevant experience.
• Or four-year combination of education and two years of related work.
• Or AS in Behavioral Health Support.
• Experience delivering services to individuals with mental health or related disorders.

Responsibilities

• Apply behavioral science to support youth in home and community.
• Provide services during school hours on school premises to empower students.
• Use an educational approach aligned with treatment goals and resilience.
• Engage in activities to meet diverse student needs and objectives.
• Manage caseload with supervision and staff collaboration.
• Provide emergency services to students in emotional crisis with follow-up.
• Follow Brightli guidelines and ethical codes in practice.
• Support data collection, program evaluation, and grant applications.
• Conduct outreach and home visits as needed, including school breaks.
