Job summary

Coos Health & Wellness partners with the local school district to provide comprehensive mental health services for students. The role performs assessments, creates treatment plans, and coordinates care with families and school personnel.

The position emphasizes crisis intervention, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and thorough clinical documentation consistent with CCMHD standards. A QMHP-eligible master’s degree and licensure are required or anticipated.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for QMHP licensure; required advanced degree(s) in mental health field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of psychological, behavioral, and social disorders and treatment applications.
• Two years postgraduate experience in clinical mental health services for children/adolescents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments with DSM-IV-TR diagnosis and develop treatment plans.
• Identify at-risk youth and initiate appropriate interventions or referrals.
• Provide mental health services and coordinate with family, medical, psychiatric and other providers.
• Offer crisis intervention and stabilization; assist with crisis response protocols.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, progress notes, and patient records meeting state standards.
• Coordinate school-based prevention, social skills groups, and family support programs.
