Job summary

Arlington Independent School District is seeking a Care Clinic Counselor to provide direct mental health and wellness services to students in a therapeutic district setting.

The role requires a Master's degree and a Texas license (LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LSSP) with alternatives considered by the G&C Director. Experience in private counseling is preferred and the incumbent will manage intake, assessments, and treatment plans in collaboration with campus staff.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LSSP.
• Alternatives to the above licenses may be considered with approval from the G&C Director.
• Clinical private counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health and wellness services to students.
• Provide crisis, short-term counseling for students with social/emotional issues.
• Present information in one-to-one, small group, and large group settings to students, parents and staff.
• Assist students, parents and staff in locating referrals.
• Adhere to protocol and keep accurate notes and documentation.
• Develop intake interviews, assessments and appropriate counseling plans.
