Knoch School District is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician – Long-Term Substitute to support students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. The position begins mid-December 2026 and runs through the 2026–2027 school year, with collaboration among students, families, teachers, counselors, and administrators.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, intervention planning, and coordination with district resources.

Qualifications

• Certification required as PA School Social Worker PK-12 or School Counselor.
• Experience as a School Social Worker or Counselor preferred.
• Knowledge of student mental health, behavioral interventions, crisis response, and available resources.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, staff, and outside providers.
• Must obtain PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group mental health support to students.
• Assess students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs and develop interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.
• Collaborate with counselors, psychologists, teachers, administrators, families, and other professionals.
• Help students develop coping strategies and emotional regulation.
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
• Maintain confidential records per laws and district procedures.
• Participate in student support meetings and collaborative team meetings.
• Support district initiatives related to student mental health and school climate.
