Job summary

K&I Healthcare Services, a CARF-accredited outpatient behavioral health provider, is expanding school-based mental health services in Anne Arundel County, MD. A licensed clinician will work onsite with students, collaborating with families and school staff to support student well-being.

We seek a candidate with 2+ years post-master's experience, MD licensure, and the ability to navigate school systems and complete required screenings. This is a full-time, in-person role with 35 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Direct clinical experience with children and adolescents required.
• Crisis assessment and safety planning experience preferred.
• Active Maryland license in good standing: LCSW-C or LCPC is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to students in a school setting.
• Conduct crisis assessments and develop safety plans per school/K&I protocols.
• Engage families and caregivers in treatment planning and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and student support teams.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation and service records.
• Escalate concerns and coordinate with K&I clinical leadership.
• Protect student confidentiality per privacy laws and school policies.

Our programs include outpatient mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, supported employment, and in-home intervention for children and adolescents.

About This Opportunity

K&I is preparing a proposal to provide school-based mental health services to Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS). We're recruiting a licensed clinician to be considered for an in-person school assignment, working directly with students and partnering with families and school staff.

Schedule

• 35 hours per week, fully onsite at an assigned AACPS school
• Generally 7 working hours per school day, plus a 30-minute lunch outside working hours
• Follows the assigned school's calendar and daily schedule
  

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and group therapy to students in a school setting
• Conduct crisis assessments, develop safety plans, and respond to student safety concerns following school and K&I protocols
• Engage families and caregivers in treatment planning and progress
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and student support teams
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation and service records
• Escalate concerns appropriately and coordinate with K&I clinical leadership
• Protect student confidentiality in line with applicable privacy laws and school policies
  

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field
• Active Maryland license in good standing: LCSW-C or LCPC
• Direct clinical experience with children and adolescents
• Experience with crisis assessment and safety planning
• Reliable transportation to an assigned school in Anne Arundel County
• Willingness to complete all AACPS-required onboarding, including fingerprinting, criminal background checks, employment history verification, and child abuse and neglect screening
• Current CPI certification, or willingness to complete required training before assignment
• Two professional references who directly observed your clinical work
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior school-based mental health experience
• Group therapy facilitation with adolescents
• Experience coordinating care across schools, families, and community providers
