Job summary

Girls Inc. is seeking a School-Based Manager for Middle and High school levels to lead and mentor program facilitators, ensuring high-quality Girls Inc. Experience programming for girls in grades 6-12.

Qualifications

JOB PURPOSE:

Driven by our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold, the School-Based Manager ensuresthedelivery of Girls Inc. Experience programming is at capacity and of the highest qualityto fulfill agency mission andannual goalsresulting in positive outcomes for school-based girls’ grades 6-12. School-Based Manager- Middle and High willprovide leadership and coaching withprogramfacilitatorstoplan and implementinnovativeprograms and strategies to achieveprogramgoals. School-Based Coordinator- Middle and High willmaintain positive relationships and open communications with school partners tosupport program goals and outcomes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruit, hire, train, lead,coach, and provide performance feedback withprogram facilitators to ensurequality programming at capacity
  • Ensure that self and program facilitators follow all policy and procedures
  • Train and monitor implementation of program policies, procedures, expectations, safety/risk management systems etc., with program facilitators
  • Ensure self and facilitators follow safety, sanitation, and security policies and proceduresat all times
  • Ensure self and facilitators follow agency policy and procedures and employee handbook guidelines at all time
  • Build and maintain a positive and effective relationship with program partners including but not limited to: schools, volunteers and program partners
  • Ensure that curricula being facilitated meet Girls Inc. Experience standards and are in alignment with the approved program calendar and annual goals
  • Work collaboratively with Program Team to establish an annual program calendar to ensure all girls have access to strong, smart, and bold programming opportunitiesand is in keeping with agency strategic plan and annual goals
  • Work collaboratively with Program Manager to implement recruitment, retention and wrap-around services plan and strategies
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Professional Development to ensure program facilitators are equipped for success in alignment with an annual program calendar
  • Work collaboratively with Recruitment, Retention and Wrap Around Services so that she/he is informed on needs School-Based Middle and High girls and families are facing
  • Oversee and manage annual budget for your area and that financial reporting is accurate, on time, and in keeping with the approved budget and current cash flow
  • Monitor and manage program grant activities and reporting in collaboration with the development team
  • Implementannualprogramming strategy for program area to achieve annual goals
  • Engage inquality assurance practices for program excellence
  • Ensure thatfacilitatorsimplementeffective and efficient program delivery modeldocumentation, implementation, andevaluationthroughparticipant tracking database
  • Implement efficient participant registration, tracking, communications, evaluation and reporting systems
  • Submitrequired reports and documentation by designated deadlines
  • Provide any requested information for grants, funding applications, and reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Give and receive regular constructive feedback fromProgram Manager
  • Meet annual goals for engagement inqualitative and quantitative program evaluation, including Strong,Smart,and Bold OutcomesSurvey
  • Build a positive work environment and support with program volunteers, interns and partners
  • Ensurefinancial documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner as specified, including financial deposits, intake forms, evaluations, etc.
  • Actively seek personal and professional growth opportunities for self and any staff, including participation in conferences, training, meetings, and seminars
  • Follow all agency policy and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook
  • Approach work with a focus on girls on their terms and advocate on their behalf- inclusive
  • Focus on thoughtful qualitative and quantitative inquiry for continuous improvement- accountable
  • Take ownership and proactive action for overall agency success- brave
  • Find the light and joy in the work through positive interactions with others- joyful

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must model the Girls Inc. mission of a Strong, Smart, and Bold individual exhibiting strong leadership qualities and a can-do attitude
  • Creative, upbeat, and comfortable speaking in front of groups of varying ages, sizes, and cultural backgrounds
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, sociology, or related field or higher
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation in youth development and educational settings
  • Experience with a diverse population of staff and volunteers, including the ability to coach others on supervision
  • Knowledge of/interest in youth development, gender equity, social justice, cultural issues and community engagement
  • Demonstrated abilities in incorporating diversity of cultures, ethnicity, language abilities, and socioeconomic background in work with staff and in programming
  • The work schedule is Tuesday – Saturday with the ability to work nights
  • Facilitate curriculum if necessary
  • Technology skills including MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Experience and knowledge of program and curriculum development
  • Ability to bend, lift, and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively diffuse and manage volatile situations
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to multi-task independently and with staff/colleagues
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally, visually, in writing, and via computer with youth, parents, coworkers, volunteers, and community partners
  • Represent Girls Inc. in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
