Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Virtual Health team. This full-time role supports the department with patient assessments, specimen collection, immunizations, IV therapy within scope, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Requires completion of an accredited practical nursing program and LPN license; BLS certification within 45 days. Excellent communication, organization, and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows OS, and use of electronic mail and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries as listed in the job description.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including immunizations and other therapies.
• Provides patient education and follows through with test requests, refills, and referrals.
• Maintains exam rooms and lab/work areas, including stocking and cleaning.
