Birch Agency seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support students in a school-based health setting in Smithfield, North Carolina. The role offers a predictable schedule with school holidays and the opportunity to impact student health under the RN supervision.

Ideal candidates are pediatric, clinic, or long-term care LPNs transitioning to schools, with strong nursing skills, document care accurately, and collaborate with school staff and UAPs.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN license.
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, clinic, or long-term care settings is a plus.
• Ability to follow healthcare protocols and document student care accurately.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train, delegate to, and supervise UAPs as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Implement IHPs, EAPs, and health-related accommodations under RN direction.
• Provide nursing care to students with various health needs.
• Perform medical procedures per policies and orders.
• Monitor treatment responses and report changes to the RN.
• Administer medications per physician orders and policies.
• Assist with supervising UAPs performing health procedures.
