Job summary

Franklin Public Schools is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse- Float to support Franklin High School students. The nurse will provide medical monitoring during transport, administer medications, and assist with first aid as part of a full-time, on-site role.

The position requires a Massachusetts LPN license and experience with children; CORI and CHRI background checks are required. Benefits include health insurance and district programs.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in Massachusetts required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must pass CORI and national fingerprinting (CHRI).

Responsibilities

• Provide medical monitoring for students during van transit to and from school.
• Accompany students to community sites and administer medications as needed.
• Assist with administering first aid to children.
• Administer medication in accordance with school policy.
• Perform procedures as prescribed in the student health care plan.
• Maintain health records and communicate with administrators and the school nurse.
