Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Watchung, NJ for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Responsibilities include continuous observation, medication administration, and care plan implementation, with collaboration from a dedicated RN and school staff. Active NJ LPN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN License in New Jersey required.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification required.
• Demonstrated competency in pediatric care, seizure management, oxygen and airway management, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the assigned student during the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures per care plans.
• Provide first aid and administer medications as prescribed.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities as assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.
