Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Enfield, NH seeks a dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for a school-based, one-on-one role with a special needs student. The assignment runs late January through April, with potential to continue as an ongoing fill-in LNA after the initial period.

The position involves supporting the student throughout the school day, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, and safety, and collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive, respectful care environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Nursing Assistant license in NH.
• Pediatric, school-based, or special needs experience preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Mon-Fri availability.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a special needs student throughout the school day.
• Assist the student with activities of daily living and other needs as appropriate.
• Provide support with mobility, positioning and safety as needed.
• Monitor the student’s well-being and report concerns to school staff.
• Follow the student’s care plan and school protocols.
• Assist with student care and support for other students as needed.
• Work with teachers, nurses, therapists and school personnel.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment.
• Provide compassionate care while promoting student independence.
• Assist with additional LNA duties within the school setting.
