Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated LMFT to join our full-time school-based team in Inglewood, CA. You will provide individual and group counseling to students, collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support social-emotional development, and help create a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds an MFT degree, an active CA LMFT license, PPS credential, and experience with children and families in school or behavioral

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in MFT, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
• Active California LMFT license
• PPS credential
• Experience with children, adolescents and families preferred
• School-based or pediatric behavioral health experience preferred
• Knowledge of SEL, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Conduct assessments and help develop intervention plans to support student success
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to address student needs
• Support social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavioral interventions
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support team meetings as appropriate
• Assist families in accessing school and community-based resources
• Maintain timely documentation, case notes, treatment records, and compliance requirements
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

Education

Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field

Active California LMFT license

PPS credential

Experience with children, adolescents, and families

School-based or pediatric behavioral health experience

Knowledge of social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
