Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our full-time, school-based team in Temecula, CA. You will support students' emotional well-being, behavioral health, and academic success within a collaborative school setting.

You will work with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to address social-emotional challenges, provide therapeutic support, and help students develop skills to thrive at school and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
• Active California LMFT license with PPS credential.
• Experience with children, adolescents and families preferred.
• School-based or pediatric behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Conduct assessments and help develop intervention plans to support student success.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to address student needs.
• Support social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavioral interventions.
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support team meetings as appropriate.
• Assist families in accessing school and community-based resources.
• Maintain timely documentation, case notes, treatment records, and compliance requirements.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
