Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of students with communicative disorders.
• Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans for therapy students.
• Develop service delivery models to meet student needs.
• Refer students to other professionals and community agencies.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure therapy gains transfer to classroom activities.
• Provide information, support, and guidance to families.
• Assist teachers in identifying children with communicative disorders.
• Maintain records for students evaluated and receiving services.
• Inform administrators and the educational team about program progress and student outcomes.
• Engage in personal professional growth and demonstrate ethics and leadership.
• Coordinate services with other school programs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Adhere to school rules, policies, and state/federal regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
