Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with language, speech or hearing disorders. You will conduct screenings, evaluate needs, and enroll students in therapy within the school program.

You will provide individual and group therapy, coordinate with teachers, and participate in IEP meetings while maintaining records with confidentiality and professionalism.

Formación

• Master’s degree and certification in speech-language pathology.
• Certification by Alabama State Department of Education and ASHA.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under Alabama Act 1999/2002-457.
• Ability to interpret assessment data for individualized instruction.
• Physical stamina for fast-paced school environment.
• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use technology to manage data and reports.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents and administrators.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.

Responsabilidades

• Organize language and speech screenings in schools.
• Organize hearing screenings in the schools.
• Evaluate and diagnose speech-language disorders using standardized tests.
• Select students for enrollment in therapy.
• Coordinate therapy scheduling with principals and teachers.
• Provide individual and group therapy for students.
• Refer students to other services when needed.
• Participate in IEP development and meetings.
• Maintain progress records and confidentiality.
• Communicate pupil progress to staff and parents.
