Intercept Health seeks a Therapeutic Aide to support students in a local Virginia school district. The role involves 1:1 or small-group work, applying behavior principles to enhance coping and pro-social skills, and reducing disruptive behaviors through trauma-informed approaches.

You will observe client progress, collect data, and help develop individualized goals while coordinating with school staff. Training caregivers in behavior management will also be part of the position.

Formación

• High school diploma required; experience with children preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science preferred.
• ABA experience or work with autism/developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Experience in school settings and data collection is desirable.

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required

The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
