Job summary

Intercept Health seeks a Therapeutic Aide to work with students in a local school district, providing behavior support and coaching in small groups or 1:1 settings.

You will observe, document, and analyze client progress, collaborating with school personnel and families to generalize skills and reduce disruptive behavior through trauma-informed methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and prior work with children preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science is preferred; ABA experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting children with behavioral needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students in a local school district.
• Observe client skills and collect data to assess progress and goals.
• Collaborate with school staff; attend meetings and provide coaching to families.
• Apply trauma-informed behavior strategies to increase pro-social skills.

Therapeutic Aide

Hourly compensation expectation is up to $20/hour (based on experience).

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
