Job summary

Intercept Health is seeking a Therapeutic Aide to support students in a local school district. The role involves working 1:1 or in small groups to apply behavior principles, increase coping and pro-social skills, and reduce disruptive behaviors using trauma-informed methods.

The selected candidate will observe progress, collect data, and help develop individualized goals. Collaboration with school staff and coaching for parents or caregivers are essential aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science is preferred.
• Experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience is a plus.
• Ability to implement trauma-informed behavior strategies within school settings.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students in a local school district.

• Observe client skills and collect data to inform goals and progress.

Hourly compensation expectation is up to $20/hour (based on experience). Hours are Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4:00 PM

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
