The MHC works closely with the School-Based Health Center Staff, GHS Administration,Faculty, Staff, Students, and families belonging to the Gloucester High School Community. Collaborating with other agencies such as JRI/Children’s Friend and Family, Gloucester Health Department, HAWC, NAMI, Younity, etc., in the Gloucester and BILH Community is an essential part of this role. Provide individualized counseling to student caseload grades 9-12; building skills in CBT, DBT, and mindfulness Facilitate groups in the GHS community to teach and practice social skills and to provide psychoeducation and skill building Collaborate with school adjustment counselors, teachers, administration, and families Assess students in crisis, work with emergency services, and appropriate treatment placements to address mental health needsEducation – Experience Requirements: Active LICSW or LMHC License. LICSW Preferred. (LCSW actively working towards LICSW may be considered) Masters degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling Meet requirements of MA Department of Public Health, National School Based Health Center network training and LICSW CEUs for licensure.
