Job summary

Family Haven is seeking a Family Educator or Abuse Prevention Facilitator to educate students in local schools about personal safety, healthy relationships, and well-being. The role involves building relationships with school staff, community partners, and representing Family Haven in schools across the service area.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong communication and teaching skills, and ability to travel with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills for classroom delivery.
• Experience or ability in teaching, classroom facilitation, or community education.
• Ability to engage with elementary and secondary students on sensitive topics.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area; mileage reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PROTECT and other curricula to students in local schools.
• Coordinate school presentations and build relationships with teachers and partners.
• Create engaging learning experiences focused on personal safety and well-being.
• Complete program documentation, evaluations, and reporting; assist with curriculum updates.
• Participate in outreach, events, team meetings, and training; represent Family Haven.
• Provide occasional parenting education or Education Department support.
