Job summary

The Institute for Therapy through the Arts in Evanston is seeking a full-time Dance/Movement Therapist to deliver creative arts therapy to diverse clients. This include working across school sites in Evanston and Chicago. Candidates should have a Master's in Dance/Movement Therapy and experience in clinical settings.

The role demands strong communication skills, creativity, and a commitment to culturally responsive care, alongside a focus on evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from an accredited university.
• Dance/movement therapy credentialing or eligibility for credentialing.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle.
• At least 1 year of professional clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide dance/movement therapy services with up to 22 to 24 hours of direct client contact per week.
• Conduct assessments to identify client strengths and areas of need.
• Develop thoughtful treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and community partners.
