Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is hiring a Classroom Counselor for Harvey Green Elementary School in Fremont, CA. You will guide students with emotional and behavioral challenges, support academic growth, and nurture social-emotional well-being within a team-based setting.

Daily schedule runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Paid time off, holidays, and school break days accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Additional experience with youth, families, classroom or mental health settings is valued.
Must be at least 21 years old and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialists to deliver integrated support.
Build therapeutic relationships to help students reach personalized goals.
Support academic instruction through individual and group activities.
Implement classroom modifications and accommodations per IEP or other plans.
Deliver direct behavioral interventions to promote positive behaviors.
Communicate with families and Seneca programs and external agencies.
Complete data collection and documentation to measure service effectiveness.
Utilize crisis de-escalation techniques as part of Seneca's training.
