Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a Willimantic, CT school setting. You will assist licensed OTs in implementing therapy plans to promote participation, independence, and success across school environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in OTA from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Current state licensure as a COTA is required.

• Carry out individualized treatment plans focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and coordination.
• Document student progress and adjust interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Support students during classroom tasks and adapt materials to meet diverse needs.
• Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions to foster social and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to reinforce therapy goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals development and review.
• Educate parents and educators on tools and techniques to support therapy outside of sessions.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and school district policies.
• Stay updated on pediatric therapy practices and apply evidence-based strategies.

Education

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

NBCOT Certification

Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position Overview

In this role, you will assist licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing therapy plans that promote student participation, independence, and success across school environments.
