Job summary

LifeWorks Schools in Doylestown, PA is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in daily living activities for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on independence, collaboration with staff, and data-driven progress toward goals.

Qualified candidates will hold a PA COTA license with an associate degree; prior COTA experience is preferred. Our school emphasizes therapeutic daily learning and individualized education plans.

Qualifications

• PA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required or if pending, must be eligible.
• Minimum of an Associate's degree required.
• Previous COTA experience preferred is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence in activities of daily living through problem solving and adaptations.
• Observe and suggest positioning to enhance participation and function.
• Consult with classroom staff and share information at team meetings.
• Discuss and exchange information about students with the occupational therapist.
• Use task analysis to suggest techniques for feeding and daily living activities.
• Implement the individualized or small group therapeutic program prescribed by the OT.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to plan and implement student programs.
• Assist OT in data collection and goal tracking on student progress.
• Assist in formulating new goals based on data analysis.
