Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based contract near Lancaster, CA. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, delivering 40 hours weekly and begins August 3rd.

You will support the OT, implement individualized plans, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to advance student participation and progress.

Qualifications

• Current California-licensed COTA in good standing.
• Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and interventions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services to students.
• Help implement individualized treatment plans to enhance student participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Document student performance with accurate records per district/state guidelines.
• Provide feedback for program development and adapt techniques for classroom use.
• Participate in meetings to discuss student growth and recommendations.
