Qualifications

• Essential functions include providing first aid and health care for students.
• Requires driving a district vehicle to transport students as needed.
• Valid Driver's License is required to perform duties.
• Strong communication with parents, students, health care providers and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional.
• Administers mandated screenings (vision, dental, hearing, etc.) to identify health concerns.
• Advises administrators about student safety, abuse and health-related issues.
• Assists students individually or in small groups with lesson activities.
• Maintains students' personal hygiene for medically fragile students.
• Attends meetings and trainings to stay updated.
• Communicates with parents, students, and health care providers.
• Distributes health information to teachers, students and parents.
• Reports incidents related to students to instructional/administrative staff.
• Supports teachers and staff in implementing curriculum and teaching methods.
