Job summary

Description

West Central Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Child & Adolescent Mental Health Counselor / Therapistto provide outpatient therapy services through our Lebanon, NH location. This position is primarily school-based mental health counseling within local schools.

As a Child Therapist, you will deliver comprehensive outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic intervention. Counseling may be provided in-person and via telehealth, offering flexibility within a structured and supportive clinical team environment.

This role is ideal for clinicians seeking meaningful work in community mental health, access to supervision for licensure, and the opportunity to collaborate closely with schools and community partners

Requirements

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or equivalent clinical discipline required
• Eligibility for licensure (LCMHC, LICSW, LMFT)by the State of New Hampshire preferred

Experience:

• Some experience working with children and adolescents strongly preferred
• Experience providing school-based mental health services preferred

• Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs
• Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system
• Maintain skill competencies in customer service, quality improvement, compliance and safety.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of and experience with an electronic medical record system
• Prior experience in a community mental health environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to access all Agency and School sites

• Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s)
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence
