Job summary

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) invites rising third-year law students, judicial clerks, and recent graduates to apply for sponsorship for public interest fellowship projects starting Fall 2027.

Fellows will work in LDF's Litigation Department, litigating civil rights matters and developing strategies across the docket in a hybrid office setting. Selected candidates should demonstrate a commitment to racial justice, exceptional writing, and the ability to collaborate

Qualifications

• Eligibility to apply for Fall 2027; strong research and writing skills.
• Experience with civil rights issues is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Litigate and strategize on civil rights matters across LDF’s docket.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and staff.
• Assist in developing proposals and seek external funding guidance.
