Bellefaire JCB’s Monarch School for Autism in Shaker Heights, OH seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join an interdisciplinary team. Qualifications
  1. Education: Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or Psychology.
  2. Licensure/Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA); 1 Year Educational Aide Permit – Ohio Department of Education.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to work within an interdisciplinary and dynamic team at our Monarch School for Autism. As a Behavior Analyst, you will conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Functional Analyses (FA) for your assigned caseload of Monarch School students as well as develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on FBA results. As a member of our BCBA team, you will have access to an abundant supply of equipment, assessments and technology, as well as be provided an exceptional work environment.

Job Summary

The Monarch School Behavior Analyst is charged with the responsibility of conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and developing, monitoring and managing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans for the assigned caseload of Monarch students.

Essential Duties
  1. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Functional Analyses (FA), as needed, for the assigned caseload of Monarch students.
  2. Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans based on FBA results.
  3. Monitor/coordinate implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans across school settings.
  4. Utilize Behavior Skills Training to train others on Behavior Intervention Plans.
  5. Develop and maintain behavioral measurement and collection systems and create graphical data representations and reports for progress monitoring of students on caseload.
  6. Observe caseload of students in the classroom on a regular and consistent basis.
  7. Organize, prioritize, and manage work assignments efficiently and within established time frames.
  8. Train staff on principles of applied behavior analysis including defining behavior, reinforcement and punishment, strengthening and weakening behavior, and identification of antecedents and consequences.
  9. Consult and collaborate with directors, supervisors, teachers, and related service providers regarding behavior intervention techniques and strategies.
  10. Communicate objective information to parents and other stakeholders when necessary.
  11. Contribute to the development of behavioral goals and objectives in the Individual Education Plan (IEP).
  12. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  13. As necessary, utilize Safety Care procedures, including at a minimum, make use of the necessary Two‑Person Stability Hold.
  14. Model and utilize approved behavior management techniques including the use of the seclusion room and physical restraint when de‑escalation and/or physical restraint is necessary for crisis management.
  15. Debrief situations with classroom teams in which Therapeutic Crisis Intervention procedures are utilized for crisis management.
Other Duties
  1. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on‑going training.
  2. All required trainings, certifications, and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  3. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client‑related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  4. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  5. Abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®.
  6. Other duties as assigned by management.
