Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Support Specialist to deliver Therapeutic Behavioral Services in home, school, and community settings. You will work under the Clinical Manager to implement ITP-based interventions and support youth with mental health needs.
The role involves travel to client sites, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and accurate electronic documentation in Epic.
Primary Location South Campus Department Psychiatry Shift Day (United States of America) Schedule Full time Weekly Hours 40 FTE 1 Employee Status Regular *Expected Starting Pay Range $21.14 - $26.47 *Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status. This position requires meeting clients in their homes, community, schools, etc. In addition, transporting clients in their own vehicle to/from appointments, school, community events, etc. Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) provide services to children and adolescents with mental illness within all settings that meet the needs of the individual. These services may involve collateral contacts. TBS services provides an array of services delivered by community based providers. Services address the individualized mental health needs of the client which vary in hours, type, and intensity of services. TBS services are designed to provide specific, measurable, and individualized services to each client served. Activities of the service shall consist of one or more of the following: Ongoing assessment of needs Assistance in achieving personal independence in managing basic needs as identified by the individual and/or parent or guardian Facilitation of further development of daily living skills, if identified by the individual and/or parent or guardian Assistance with accessing natural support systems in the community; and linkages to formal community service/systems; Symptom monitoring Coordination and/or assistance in crisis management and stabilization as needed Advocacy and outreach Mental health interventions that address symptoms, behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment.
