Job summary

Brightli in Missouri seeks a School Based Support Specialist to provide on-site intervention in area schools and coordinate mental health services within community programs. You’ll develop individual treatment plans, monitor progress, and help clients access social, vocational, educational, and recreational resources, in a role that emphasizes inclusion and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field.
• Additional degrees listed include Recreational Therapy, HDFS, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Sociology.
• Valid Driver’s License, Auto Insurance, and a favorable driving record.
• Reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site intervention in area schools for clients enrolled in the program and collaborate with school staff to ensure appropriate client care.
• Monitor client progress in treatment programs.
• Develop specific individual treatment/rehabilitation plans.
• Provide individual assistance to clients accessing needed mental health services and activities of daily living skills.
• Assist clients to access and utilize community agencies and resources for ongoing social, vocational, educational, and recreational support.

Education

Bachelor degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field
