Job summary

NEWESD 101 seeks a Behavioral Health Student Assistance Professional to support Lakeside High School students in Nine Mile Falls. The role focuses on prevention, early intervention, individual and group counseling, and coordinating services with families and MDTs.

The position is 7.5 hours per day, 190 days per year, with ongoing collaboration among school staff and community providers. A supportive team environment and professional growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area is required.
• Experience in substance use or mental health is required; school setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain licensure within 18 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection and evaluation to improve school climate and student success.
• Collaborate with MDT to coordinate referrals and supports.
• Provide screening, monitoring, and follow-up for referred students.
• Counsel students and families individually and in groups to improve functioning.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation for program evaluation.
• Present behavioral health information to staff, students, and parents.
• Coordinate in-school and out-of-school intervention services.
