Hiring EXPERIENCED Behavior Technicians in in Springfield, VT!

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team and provide 2:1 support to an 18-year-old individual with specific needs in daily living skills. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in implementing behavior intervention strategies, promoting independence, and fostering skill development in various areas of daily living.

Responsibilities:

Individualized Support:

  • Provide direct 2:1 support to the 18-year-old individual in daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address specific behavioral challenges.

Skill Development:

  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to assess the individual's current skill levels and develop goals for daily living skills improvement.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to teach and reinforce targeted skills, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of the individual's progress in daily living skills.
  • Collect and analyze data to track behavior patterns and skill acquisition, adjusting intervention strategies as needed.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the individual's family, caregivers, and other support team members to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to skill development.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the BCBA, team members, and relevant stakeholders.

Crisis Intervention:

  • Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed, following established protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual and others.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current on best practices in the field of behavior analysis.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum of a High School Diploma
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g., psychology, special education, behavior analysis).
    • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is highly desirable.
    • Previous experience working with individuals who require 2:1 support, particularly in daily living skills development.
    • Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and their application in a therapeutic setting.
    • Must be willing to work in multiple environments; school, community and home.
