Job summary

Arizona Autism Charter Schools, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join the Phoenix Upper Campus (4th-12th). The role supports students on the autism spectrum using ABA strategies under the supervision of the ABA Co-Director. This is a school-year position with optional summer opportunities.

Hours are set from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at a single campus. Paraprofessional pay starts at $17 per hour and increases with experience, with higher rates for more

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of classroom experience.
• Understanding of behavioral characteristics associated with autism.
• Strong foundation in applied behavior analysis preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with parents and education professionals.
• Basic understanding of instructional methods and education curriculum.
• Ability to train others in behavior management techniques.
• Must obtain Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance.
• First aid/CPR certification due within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing instructional programs and behavior management.
• Work with classroom team to support academic instruction and behavior plans.
• Execute lessons and support individual or small-group instruction.
• Prepare materials with the classroom teacher.
• Assist students with routines, transitions, and self-care tasks.
• Implement ABA strategies as directed by supervisors.
• Mentor paraprofessionals on best practices.
• Follow tier-one behavioral supports and behavior plans.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
